Goal 6: To provide for the health and welfare of the U.S. Armed Force's veterans.

Objectives:

6.1 In cooperation with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and it's agencies.

6.2 In cooperation with the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs and its agencies.

6.3 In cooperation with other public and private organizations providing support services available to veterans.

Goal 7: To eliminate discrimination suffered by Veterans and to develop channels of communication that will assist Veterans to maximize self-realization and the enhancement and enrichment of their lives.

Objectives:

7.1 By supporting channels of communication through publishing the Maryland Communiqué.

7.2 By supporting education of veteran leaders regarding programs and services available to veterans and their families.

7.3 By supporting education of the public regarding the service and sacrifices of veterans and their families for our society.

7.4 By supporting education of public officials regarding the importance of the veteran's place in our society and the needs of veterans and their families.

7.5 By supporting reference libraries maintained by Veterans Service Organizations and others.

7.6 By encouraging the establishment of local Veterans Commissions.

OUR METHODOLOGY:

To develop and maintain a diversified funding base to assure adequate resources for the support of our mission, goals and objectives.

1 By maintaining close supervision and control of funds disbursal.

2 By maintaining records and controls in accordance with applicable standards to assure careful stewardship and preservation of our resources for veterans services.

3 By continuing to preserve diversity of funding to provide opportunities for veterans support in the community at large.
