Goal 1: To promote the social welfare of veterans and of the greater community of which they are a part.

Objectives:

1.1 By supporting a network of Veterans Service Representatives benefiting veterans throughout the State.

1.2 By supporting educational Grants and Scholarships to veterans, their dependents and members of their communities.

Goal 2: To assist disabled and needy veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their dependents, and the widows and orphans of deceased veterans.

Objectives:

2.1 By supporting the local and state Veterans Service Organizations and their Vet-in-Need programs.

2.2 By supporting public (e.g.; Federal and State Veterans Affairs) and private organizations which assist and benefit veterans and their families.

Goal 3: To provide entertainment, care and assistance to hospitalized veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Objectives:

3.1 By working with the Department of Veterans Affairs Volunteer Services at facilities serving Maryland veterans.

3.2 By working with the Volunteer Services Programs at Maryland State Veterans facilities.

Goal 4: To carry on programs to perpetuate the memory of deceased veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces and to comfort their survivors.

Objectives:

4.1 By supporting Ceremonies and Services at the Maryland Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

4.2 By supporting Ceremonies and Services at State Veterans Cemeteries and National Cemeteries within the State.

4.3 By supporting other appropriate public and private Ceremonies and Services for veterans.

Goal 5: To sponsor and/or participate in activities of a patriotic nature including those of Veterans Service Organizations.

Objectives:

5.1 By supporting POW/MIA ceremonies.

5.2 By supporting patriotic observances and the dissemination of patriotic information.
